Kevin Fox is an original 

Austin musician whose journey began in northern Luzon, Philippines. Adopted at five months old and raised in a military family from Missouri, Kevin found himself in Austin, Texas, where his father was stationed at Bergstrom Air Force Base. His love for music began after witnessing the magic of a four-piece a cappella group igniting a passion that would shape his life. Kevin’s early musical adventures included driveway sing-alongs with neighborhood friends and playing his first electric guitar—a Christmas gift that sparked a lifelong journey.

Self-taught and relentless in his pursuit, Kevin played in punk bands during high school, wrote songs inspired by his skateboarding days, and even built his first guitar in woodshop class. His musicianship took a professional turn when he landed a job at Collings Guitars, crafting world-class instruments and connecting with legendary musicians. By 2008, Kevin had committed fully to his craft, performing over 30 shows a month, touring internationally, and winning audiences with his signature sound.

Despite challenges, including living in his van and navigating the realities of being a full-time Filipino musician in genres like country and rockabilly, Kevin’s dedication never wavered. Support from organizations like HAAM helped him stay healthy and focused on his art. Highlights of his career include sharing the stage with icons like Earl Poole Ball and Linda Gail Lewis, and even appearing in a Terrence Malick film alongside Ryan Gosling and Rooney Mara.

Kevin’s authenticity is what sets him apart. Known for his powerful voice and captivating performances, he’s proudest of the moments when listeners recognize his original sound.
